Gallatin River Half Day Classic – More Challenging

The Gallatin River is a small river that runs through a scenic, rocky canyon. It has fun rapids and is the most challenging commercial rafting available in the Yellowstone Area.

Our more challenging Gallatin River whitewater rafting half-day trip takes you through the heart of the wildest water on the Gallatin! You’ll begin with small rapids that progress in size until you are dropped into the lower canyon where you’ll conquer BIG rapids including House Rock and the *Mad Mile- the longest stretch of whitewater in the region. The trip is about 3 hours, but varies depending on water levels. Our office is located just minutes from the end of the trip – so you can get right back into dry clothes and get comfortable. These boats seat up to 6 participants.

*The Mad Mile is class IV during high water- usually June & July. Restrictions may apply based on age and ability during these months. It will change to class III, August through the end of the season due to dropping water levels.
