The Yellowstone River office is located in Gardiner, at the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We are on the main street, right on the river - walking distance from the hotels, motels and campgrounds of central Gardiner.
You can see some of the rapids that we float from our office window or the backyard.

Our Half Day Paradise begins on the northern border of Yellowstone Park. Right where the Gardner River converges with the mighty Yellowstone River, you will find rolling waves that are fun for the whole family! Ride the Waves at Man-Eater Hole, Boonie's Revenge and Sleeping Giant (shown in pic)! Take in the breathtaking view of Devils Slide and La Duke Hotsprings. Float through some flatwater stretches great for swimming and relaxing. This trip is great for first time rafters or family groups with wide age and ablitity ranges. Minimum age is 5. The total time required for the trip is about 2.5 to 3 hours. We shuttle you to and from the river. Boats usually accommodate 8-12 people depending on size and group demands. Spend the morning paddling the "Gardiner Town Stretch" (see half day) and float further downstream into beautiful Paradise Valley. Stop on the riverside and enjoy an all you can eat smorgasboard lunch. (Deli meats, cheeses, veggies, hoagies, cookies, chips, and water or sodas). We happily accommodate dietary restrictions, let us know. Minimum age is 6. Your afternoon will be well spent floating the scenic and rapid Yankee Jim Canyon - the most beautiful section of the Yellowstone River! This stretch of river offers scenic vistas, the opportunity to view wildlife, big fun splashes, and some flat water in between for relaxed floating and swimming! Your guide carries a dry-bag for you to store whatever you might need for the day. Usually 6-10 people per raft. Request a small boat for a group of 4-6 for $90 (adults) and $70 (12 & under).

If you prefer a more challenging and exciting experience, this is the option for you! On this trip our small rafts accommodate 4-6 people. A smaller boat gives a better ride as each paddler is closer to the water and more involved as a paddle crew member. This is also a great option if you would like a private experience for your group. Minimum age is 6. For a mondo big ride, ask us about our 2-3 person exclusive raft trip!

Feeling adventurous? Get out on the water and paddle a one person inflatable kayak! Learn the basic skills with a guide and then try it out for yourself. More excitement than rafting without requiring very much skill. If you are interested in eventually doing some white water kayaking, the duckie is a great way to try out solo boating! You get huge hits! The duckies are very stable which helps to keep you from flipping over when you hit those big holes and waves. A guide will be there to assist you as you navigate class II rapids.
Participants must have good swimming skills and be confident in the water.

Your 2.5 hour ride covers diverse terrain and offers spectacular views. Just when you are ready to say, "what's for lunch? ", the guides take you over to the house where Heather serves up beef (or vegi) burgers with all the fixin's. Digest while you drive 11 miles to Montana Whitewater in Gardiner for the 1:00 raft trip on the Yellowstone River. The Stermitz's are a Legendary Paradise Valley Family with ties that go back to the Frontier days. They have backcountry tales that will give you a taste of the real Montana! For the Small Boat rafting option prices are $98 (adult) $88 (12 & under), ask about availability.

Experience the backcountry of Yellowstone National Park with a premier paddle and saddle package offering a 3.5 hour horseback ride in the park! As you ride through the nation's first national park, you will have the chance to watch amazing wildlife and catch spectacular scenic views. A wildlife biologist will accompany the trip to provide information about the park's diverse ecosystems. Our guides can answer most any question about the park, from the smallest flower to the largest carnivore. We are excited to offer you this unique experience in an amazing place we call home. You will have a chance to relax and enjoy nature while you eat lunch out in the backcountry. After returning to the trailhead, proceed to the north entrance of the park into Gardiner to cool down as you join us for the 4:00 raft trip on the Yellowstone River!
