INTRODUCTION to FLY FISHING

Join us for a half-day of introductory group fly fishing on the Gallatin River - one of the best wade fishing rivers in Montana and famous for the scenery featured in "A River Runs Through It."
The class begins with dryland casting practice, safety techniques, and familiarization with fly fishing gear. Our guides also teach basic information on fish and fish habitat, reading water, identifying insects, and selecting flies.
We are proud to offer this experience on private land located on a prime fishing hole on the Gallatin River.

| FLY FISHING LESSON with WHITEWATER RAFTING |

After your Fly Fishing lesson, float the Gallatin River with us for a Half Day Trip!
Take a break for a lunch (buy at our cafe or bring your own), then gear up for white water rafting and hit the water. Our half-day rafting offers spectacular scenery and class II-IV rapids, depending on your preference..
Details: Meet at 9 am at the Gallatin River Office (or at Karst Kamp if you are coming from the South). Round trip is about 6 hours. You will raft with us at 1pm. The activities will end at approximately 4pm.

FLY FISHING LESSON followed by GUIDED FISHING

Clients start with the Half Day Learn to Fly Fish and then follow up with a 3-4 hour guided Float/Wade trip on a super scenic section of the Gallatin River.
Although there is no fishing allowed from boats on the Gallatin, our guide can row you to prime fishing holes where you can get out and fish. This is a great way to get to know the Gallatin and access sweet spots that are hard for waders to get to.
