Day 1: Meet at our Yellowstone River Outpost at 8:30 am. Pack your gear and rent any camping gear you might need. We outfit you in river booties, splash gear, and a Coast Guard approved lifejacket (wetsuit if necessary). We transport you to the river access where we have a riverside briefing and safety talk before getting on the water.
Enjoy a full day of rafting, stopping for a deli-style lunch mid-day. You’ll end for the day at a camp site in the beautiful Paradise Valley. Help set up camp and relax, swim, or fish on the banks of the river. Bring a Montana fishing license and gear if you would like to enjoy fishing on a premier stretch of river.
The guides prepare a delicious dinner which you are welcome to enjoy with your own beer or wine. After dinner, you can explore the area or sit back and relax around a fire at camp. Retreat to the comfort of a thick sleeping mat and a warm sleeping bag to rest up for your second day on the water.
Day 2: Wake up to fresh coffee and a tasty hot breakfast. You’ll depart camp around 10 am either by raft or inflatable kayak (your choice!). Learn the basics of navigating your own craft, or enjoy the majestic views from the comfort of a raft. This mellow stretch of water offers scenic views, possible wildlife sightings, and the opportunity to practice your kayak paddle skills if you want.
Finish up the trip with a snack at the take-out point. We’ll transport you back to the office to see your photos, change clothes, and scope out the souvenirs. Top off your afternoon by getting directions to one of the local hot springs from your guides!
