Gallatin River Full Day Classic

Spend the morning observing wildlife while floating by mountain meadows and spectacular rock outcroppings. You’ll run Snake Bite, Mother Eater and Portal Creek rapids. We’ll take a break to indulge in a delicious all you can eat lunch by the river. Lunch and water will be provided. Let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions so they can be accommodated. Enjoy an exhilarating afternoon rafting the lower canyon. The lower section takes you through the wildest water on the Gallatin! You’ll begin with small rapids that progress in size until you are dropped into the Mad Mile,* featuring the longest stretch of whitewater in the region and the legendary House Rock Rapid! You will return to our Gallatin around 4:00pm, both exhilarated and relaxed from this full river experience.

*Your trip may include the Mad Mile or not (depending on water levels and group ability). Without the Mad Mile, the trip is class I-III. The trip is also class I-III, even with the Mad Mile, August through the end of the season due to dropping water levels.

Gallatin River Learn to Fly Fish

Join us for an introduction to fly fishing on the Gallatin River ~ a blue ribbon wade fishing river in Montana. Topics included: rigging, basic entomology, knot tying, casting, reading water and on-water instruction and includes all the necessary equipment like rods, reels, terminal tackle, and flies during the course.
